Etti Ben-Zion, who has a Ph.D. in holistic nutrition, is the mastermind behind Dr Smood’s healthy products. “Our body is made mostly of water and our organs must have an adequate supply of water to function properly,” she tells WomensHealthMag.com. “Unfortunately, many of us are constantly dehydrated which results in symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, joint stiffness, headaches, poor skin elasticity and wrinkles, to name a few.”

But sometimes just plain old water can be super boring, and I personally need some flavor to jazz it up. Clearly, Ben-Zion understands, too, saying: “That is one of the reasons I created our Beauty Water—it’s tasty and nourishing and you are never bored.” Ben-Zion says that there are also benefits to the herbs in the water (orange and rose water have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties while rosemary and thyme support the nervous system). But for me, it’s simply about getting in more hydration to make my skin and my body feel and look better.
I noticed myself wanting to drink more and more water, and with one bottle of Beauty Water a day, I saw my skin start to shine in the right way, even over summer, which it’s never done before. You can play with the proportion of ingredients to find the right balance of flavors for your taste buds.
